Security & User Management
How user accounts, permissions, and data isolation work in Clark Street Health.
User access and permissions
Every user is assigned to a specific practice, and access is restricted to that practice's data. Practice users can:
- View call logs, transcripts, and analytics for their practice.
- Manage schedules, email routing, and notifications.
- Edit test/development AI assistants safely.
Production AI assistants have restricted editing permissions to prevent accidental changes that could affect live patient interactions — test changes in the development environment first.

HIPAA data isolation
Clark Street Health implements strict practice-based data isolation to protect patient health information (PHI):
- Access is restricted to practice-assigned PHI only.
- Row-level security policies and automatic practice-based filtering in the database.
- Strict tenant isolation prevents data leakage.
- Comprehensive audit trails for compliance.
